## Key facts

- Free plan: 1 active tool on 1 verified HTTPS origin, 2,500 successful authorized storefront views per UTC month, 1 user, and the required “Powered by Storelayer” attribution.
- Shopify access: installed merchants open Storelayer from Shopify Admin → Apps and manage billing in Shopify.
- Paid pricing: Starter $29/month for 3 active widget types, Growth $49/month for 6, and Scale $99/month for 15, each with a 7-day trial.
- Paid plans remove the Free traffic ceiling and Storelayer branding.
- Photo Reality allowances: 25 analyses/month on Starter, 150 on Growth, and 500 on Scale.
- Security: widget delivery is restricted to the connected storefront.
- AI agents can install one Free widget without a dashboard token by starting a public 30-minute session, publishing one generated browser-safe script, and asking Storelayer to DNS-pinned verify that exact HTTPS origin. No merchant-server HMAC recorder is required.

## AI-agent quick install

Use [the machine-readable ordered workflow](https://storelayer.net/.well-known/ai). It requires no account, payment method, dashboard token, persistent credential, or second paste. The only authority requirement is permission from the site owner or hosting platform to publish the returned one-paste code. Storelayer independently verifies the exact host before it becomes live. Account claiming and live verification are optional.

If platform editing permission is missing, ask the site owner or merchant to publish the returned verification proof and embed code; Storelayer cannot grant access to a third-party website. Follow each API error's `next_action` and `recovery` fields. Include the storefront domain, widget name, error code, and expected result. Never send passwords, access tokens, signatures, proxy secrets, or payment-card details.

## Expired public HTTP-file reservation

Only when a **new** public session is blocked by an old pending HTTP-file reservation, call `POST /api/agent/v1/free-install-sessions/domain-recoveries` with its bearer session and `{"origin":"https://merchant.example"}`. Publish the returned `expected_content` unchanged at its exact `verification_url`, then before `recovery_expires_at` call `POST /api/agent/v1/free-install-sessions/domain-recoveries/verify` with `{"recovery_token":"..."}` and the same bearer session. A successful response returns a verified `domain_id`; continue with the ordinary public installation endpoint, then use its separately returned `claim_token` only for optional Clerk account claiming.

This flow is intentionally unavailable for verified or formerly verified, account-owned, claimed, unexpired, installation-linked, duplicate, or direct/paid/Shopify/legacy-authority domains. Do not retry a replayed or expired proof: on `domain_recovery_unavailable`, `invalid_recovery_proof`, `recovery_proof_expired`, or an authority-race conflict, stop and start a clean session/domain flow or use the existing authority. A recovery token is not a claim token and never grants account or installation management.
